Harima Chemicals Group, Inc. (hereinafter, the "Company") has confirmed that, due to unauthorized access (a ransomware attack) on its consolidated U.S. subsidiaries, Harima USA, Inc. and Harimatec Inc. (hereinafter, the "Subsidiaries"), there is a possibility that certain employees' personal information may have been leaked. Accordingly, we hereby provide this notice.
We sincerely and deeply apologize to all concerned parties for the significant inconvenience and concern caused.

1. Overview of the Incident
On February 3, 2026, we confirmed that, due to unauthorized access to the internal systems of the Subsidiaries, there is a possibility that the personal information of 14 of our employees (including retired employees) may have been leaked externally. As of now, no unauthorized use, etc., of the affected personal information has been confirmed.

2. Current Status and Response
The system disruption caused by the unauthorized access was temporary, and operations have already been restored following the implementation of the latest security measures. Accordingly, there has been no impact on the Subsidiaries' business activities, including their production systems.
In addition, because the Subsidiaries' internal systems are not connected to the Company's systems or our domestic group companies' systems, there has been no impact on domestic operations.
We are continuing to investigate the detailed circumstances, extent of the damage, and scope of the impact in cooperation with external specialists.
Furthermore, we have consulted with the police and have reported this matter to the Personal Information Protection Commission.

3. Recurrence Prevention Measures
Harima Chemicals Group takes this matter very seriously and, in cooperation with external specialists, will further strengthen information security frameworks across the entire Group and implement additional measures to prevent unauthorized access.
Should any additional facts requiring disclosure be identified through the ongoing investigation, we will promptly provide further notice.
