Harima is pleased to announce that its consolidated subsidiary, Plasmine Technology, Inc.,
has been earned an EcoVadis Gold Medal for the first time.

EcoVadis is the world's most trusted business sustainability rating provider. Since its founding in 2007, the France-headquartered organization has evaluated more than 150,000 companies from over 250 industries and 185 countries.

Plasmine has utilized EcoVadis sustainability assessments since 2021. The company was highly evaluated for its sustainability initiatives, including the publication of sustainability reports, the establishment of greenhouse gas reduction targets, and the promotion of environmentally conscious research and development activities.

As a result, scores improved significantly across all assessment categories--environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement--compared with the previous year, when the company received a Silver Medal. The current gold rating places Plasmine in the top 5% of companies assessed by the platform.

Plasmine became a wholly owned subsidiary of Harima Chemicals Group in 1996 and has contributed significantly to the Group's business expansion in the North American market ever since.

Plasmine holds a strong market position in the United States as a leading supplier of rosin-based internal sizing agents and offers a broad range of papermaking chemicals, including surface sizing agents and paper strength additives.

In recent years, in collaboration with Harima's research and development teams, the company has developed high-performance products, including FDA-approved products, to meet diverse market needs.
