Harima Announces Completion of Facility Expansion in the Czech Republic
Nov 2, 2026
Harima has completed the expansion of facilities and manufacturing capacity at Harimatec Czech in the Czech Republic. Established in 2007, Harimatec Czech serves as Harima's European base for the manufacturing and sales of electronic materials, primarily for the automotive and industrial equipment sectors.

Expanded Harimatec Czech Production Facilities
Harimatec Czech has completed a major expansion of its production facilities in response to growing demand for solder materials in Europe, almost doubling its manufacturing capacity. In addition, the technical expertise of the related R&D departments is being leveraged to optimize processes and deliver high-quality products to the market. Product qualification activities, including sample production and customer approvals, were completed and mass production started in July 2026. This expansion now enables a more stable and faster supply of products to our existing and new customers across Europe.
Harima reiterated its intention to extend outside Japan in 2022, when we acquired the solder materials business of German manufacturer, Henkel, to enlarge our customer base in the automotive, industrial machinery, and telecommunications equipment industries in regions like Europe, North America, and China, with Harimatec Czech expected to play a vital role in these endeavors.
In March 2025, all our factories outside Japan that manufacture electronic materials for automotive applications obtained IATF 16949 certification, enabling us to better serve our business partners based on internationally accepted quality standards. IATF 16949 defines the quality management system requirements for vehicle production, service and/or accessory parts, and aims at the continual improvement of products and services so as to prevent defects and reduce variation and waste in the supply chain.
